Well...Again, US faces trouble when Republicans and Democrats do not come to the consensus on things. Undoubtedly, that the two-party system causes market failure sometimes, especially on efficiency and political issues. Recall what PM Lee responds on whether the two-party system is reliable in Singapore. And the answer obviously was not, at least from the economic point of view with the empirical evidence in US.
